  1. I am in total agreement here. I love the whole experience of reading a physical book. I have steered clear of e-books completely, and I hope that things don't ever become 100% computerised in the book industry.

And thank you so much, for following my blog!

  2. I like to smell the center of a book and turn its pages. There's something about flipping thru a real book, but I do have to admit, making time to read nowadays with a toddler and one on the way is really difficult, and keeping those books high on shelf so my kids can't get to them, hard too.

Anyway, thank you for stopping by my blog, I am following back.

  5. I love books in all forms. I certainly wouldn't want print books to disappear, but all books are real, so I somewhat disagree in the term "Real Books" and I don't like the term DTB or Dead Tree Book either. I prefer to think of them as Traditional Printed books. Rather than print books disappearing completely, I see the electronic medium as a manner of finding new authors whose books show potential, then putting them in print. Just because folks bought paperbacks didn't mean that the market for hard covers completely disappeared. I hope e-books are just another vehicle for delivering great stories. I will admit that I didn't think I would like my e-reader, but I do. It is a great way for me to enjoy what I love, reading despite my weakening eyesight. I didn't even own one until my book came out and my husband bought me one, so I could show family and friends my book.

We can all agree on one thing....there are many great stories waiting to be told and those of us who are anxious to read them....

  9. AMEN TO THAT!!! I love to read and if I'm able to get a free e-book I will, but it take me FOREVER to get it read. My real books can travel with me. Oh the smell of a book is so good to me ;). What would I do with all my very cool bookmarks if I didn't have my real books.
BTW, Thanks for following my blog!

  16. I am all for keeping traditional print books around. I see them as my friends on my shelf. However, e-books have a place in my heart, too. It allows those of us who want to be published, but cannot get published in tactile form yet, to get our story out there. (I hope to one day join those ranks!)

It is nice to curl up by the fire and hold a real book...but it's awfully convenient to through the e-reader in the carry-on bag and have several books available when you travel!

Thanks for the follow... returning the favor! Thanks for hopping by.... Musings of a Book Lover
